On Saturday 4th May we have our annual Bunnings BBQ, at Bunnings Warehouse, Tuggerah Super Centa, between 9.00am and 5.00pm. We are looking for volunteers to help out with either food preparation, money handling or on the BBQ. This is a great fundraiser for our club, so if you can spare an hour or two on Saturday 4th May, please call Lisa on 0414747465, or email playafl@theblues.org.au. All help is appreciated! |

Applications to represent the Central Coast junior AFL teams close at 5pm this Wednesday 17th April. Nominations are open for the U12, U13, U14, U16 and Youth Girls teams. Due to a washout at Rogers Park, the U17s games have been moved to Bateau Bay Sporting Facility tonight. The Blues are playing Peninsula at 6:00pm, while Gosford play Saratoga at 7:45pm. Blues players please be at the ground by 5:15pm. |

The Regional Committee and GSJ have released the 2013 draw. You can now find all games on our website calendar page. Please note times are subject to change. A full season draw for each age group will be included in your Blues Season Booklet, to be distributed during the first or second week of training at Passage Road. |

Anyone interested in umpiring is invited to come to the AFL Umpire Roadshow this Sunday at Bateau Bay Sports Facility (details below). To register your interest, please email carl.fletcher@aflnswact.com.au by Friday 1pm. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Good Afternoon Everyone, I am pleased to now advise that this Sunday 10 March we will be holding the season launch for umpiring on the Central Coast at the Bateau Bay AFL Facility, Passage Rd, Bateau Bay. The launch will be held from 5pm till 7pm. Could all umpires, new umpires and any club people attending please reply to this email by this Friday 1pm for catering purposes. All umpires from 2012, along with all new and interested umpires are encouraged to attend. As part of this launch I am pleased to advise that this launch will coincide with the AFL Umpires Roadshow. AFL Field umpire Stephen McBurney, a four time AFL Grand Final umpire and an AFL Boundary umpire Chris Gordon who has umpired one AFL Grand Final will be present to share their insights into umpiring at the elite level along with conducting some skill activities. This will be a unique opportunity and I encourage all umpires, or interested umpires to attend. I would also like to invite all clubs to send any interested players, parents, committee members or coaches. Also make sure you tell any of your friends that might be interested in umpiring to attend. Below I have provided some of the key points that can be shared with people interested in umpiring: · No Experience Necessary · FREE coaching and mentoring · Earn $15 - $60 per game, each weekend April to September. · Need to be turning 13 years of age in 2013 or older. · Umpire a game in the morning before you play. · Boundary and Goal umpiring opportunities also available. · Parents also welcome to get involved!
